Dear Friends,
It is the Divine Mother of Crestone, Haidakhandeswari’s, 32nd
Birthday! At least that is when She was brought to life in the
Temple of the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram, on 4th of July weekend,
1989. We all know that She always was and always will be, but we are
so grateful, happy, and ecstatic that She chose to appear here for
all to bathe in Her Divine Love, compassion, and protection.
Given the name, Vishveshwari, which means the Divine Mother of the
Universe by Shri Muniraji, She arrived in Spring of 1989 by surprise
from Jaipur, India. She had been carved there by the same murti
maker who had made all of the murtis of Haidakhan. As She was being
carved, Shri Vishnu Datt Shastriji, who hailed from the family of
Gurus to the Raj of Rajasthan, carefully watched over Her. Shastriji
was the first to publicly acknowledge Shri Babaji in Vrindabam in
1971 when He heard the secret mantra given to him by his teacher,
Mahendra Maharaj by which he would recognize Babaji. He called
himself the Shadow of Babaji, since he was always near Him and even
slept in Babaji’s room. What Shastriji and Muniraji both told me was
that it was the Divine Mother who chose to come to Crestone and that
it would always be very blessed and good here by Her Presence.
We will celebrate by live-streaming the fire ceremony on Sunday, 4th
of July at 9am. If you would like a special prayer to be offered to
Mother, email us at
info@babajiashram.org. If
you would like to attend (sorry for the short notice), call us at
719-256-4108. Of course, She will get a birthday
cake for lunch tomorrow. It will be strawberry/zucchini from our
garden and all our visitors this weekend will have some.
Ramloti for the Ashram
You may have noticed that we did not send out a newsletter last
month and are not as virtually present as we were this last year.
Now that we are opening the Temple for Darshan by appointment on
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Full and New Moon Fire Ceremony Days,
we are extremely busy. We are delighting in seeing hundreds of
friends that we have not seen in over a year and many new folks as
well and it does keep us busy.
We also ran our 10th Annual On-Line Fundraiser this last month, that
was not only extremely successful but also took a huge investment of
time and we are still sending out the over 150 items won on the
auction to winners all around the world.
We are also already being blessed by our afternoon rain, which is
keeping the surrounding area green and more protected from fire
danger. Along with that, however, often comes thunder and lightening
which has blown out several of our phone systems in the past. So if
you call the Ashram in the afternoon from about 3-5pm, you may get a
continual ring, as we unplug the phone during these lightening
storms. Don’t worry, the buildings are all well grounded but
something about the antennas on these portable phones are very
susceptible to lightening. Just call back a little later and you
will be able to reach us or at least get our answer machine.
Please call for reservations. The event will also be live streamed at Haidakhandi Universal Ashram Facebook Page
Nila met Shri Babaji in the late 70’s. She also was married to Peter Caddy from Findhorn before he died, and she made a yatra to Mount Kailash in Tibet, so she should have many interesting experiences to share.
Zoom Satsang with Sita Rami (whom Babaji married to Radhe Shyam) and
Morgan Bates whom Babaji endearingly called Motu. Both of these
devoted ladies lived in Haidakhan for many years with Shri Babaji
and their insights and experiences will touch your heart.

This is the day that we set aside especially to honor our beloved
Guru, Shri Babaji, in gratitude for His continued love and light
that He showers upon us. Bhole Baba Ki Jai!
We are happy to announce that the Ashram’s gradual, first phase of
opening is going well and we have raised the number per timeslot to
18. For this first phase, the Temple is open on Fridays, Saturdays,
and Sundays at three different timings of one and a half hour each.
Please call the Ashram at 719-256-4108 to reserve
one of the times below to have darshan in the Temple.
10:00am – 11:30am
12:00pm – 1:30pm
2:00pm – 3:30pm
During this initial stage; the Temple, dormitory bathrooms, and lawn
area will be open. You are welcome to bring your own food or snacks
to eat outside but the earthship bathrooms, kitchen, and shop will
remain closed to visitors. Because we have many bears this time of
year, we also ask that you pack your trash out with you, if
possible. Also for the next few weeks, we will still have plenty of
mosquitos so long sleeves and pants and repellant are suggested.
We require that everyone observe social distancing, wear a mask at
all times (except when eating on the lawn), and that all adult
visitors be fully vaccinated or have show a recent negative Covid
test or due diligence if there is a reason you are not vaccinated.
We appreciate your cooperation with this first step of reopening.
If the Full or New-Moon Fire Ceremony Day falls during the week, the
Ashram will open from 9:30am-11:30am on that day as well (15 people
maximum).
We continue to be supported by many of you through different fundraising modalities. Thank you to all. It is so important during this time. Here are the links below. We are aware that many do not have the funds to donate at this time and please know that we appreciate your prayers and loving support as well.
Still going strong in the garden, greenhouse, kitchen, shop, auction, preparing for ceremonies, hosting visitors, water system, fire mitigation, repairing batteries and machines, and many other projects. We want to always keep Baba’s and Mother’s home in great shape for them and for each of you to come and visit.
As was mentioned above, the 10th Annual On-Line Fundraiser Auction was a great success. We want to thank everyone that participated by donating items, bidding on the auction, and sharing the auction with others. The funds raised will be a big help to needed repairs and maintenance on the Ashram. Thank you.
Now that the Ashram is open on weekends by appointment, we are seeing hundreds of folks. It is truly a blessing to be with you all. Here are some photos from a few of the families, it would be impossible to post them all. Just this weekend alone, since we added an extra day, Monday, due to the holiday, we will have over 200 visitors. Bhole Baba Ki Jai!

Once again, thank you to all who have been donating to the Ashram
and purchasing from the Maha Lakshmi Shop. Both are a big help in
keeping everything going at the Ashram. Please know that we always
remember you in the Temple at Baba’s and Mother’s feet and at our
Fire Ceremonies.
We continue to have folks reach out to us about sending a donation
to keep the Ashram going during this time. Perhaps the easiest place
to get information about donations and to make one is at the
Ashram Donate Page. And to see our Maha Lakshmi Shop catalogue of devotional items
and to purchase on line, go to
Maha Lakshmi Online Shop. Call or email us anytime with questions, feedback, or requests at
info@babajiashram.org or
719-256-4108. We love to hear from you.
Bhole Baba Ki Jai! Jai Ma!
